Safe and Effective. How the Waterlase Dental Laser Works

Waterlase® Dentistry uses a patented technology combining YSGG laser energy and an atomized spray of water, a patented process called HydroPhotonics™, or hydrokinetic energy replaces the drill.

Standard of Care

Lasers have long been the standard of care in medicine for many surgical and cosmetic procedures such as cosmetic surgery, eye surgery or Lasik surgery and the removal of hair.

The Food and Drug Administration cleared the Waterlase™ YSGG laser for cutting hard dental tissue including enamel, dentin and caries in October, 1998. More recently, the device was approved for use in complete root canal therapy and oral surgery involving bone tissue.

Dr. Granger is an experienced and knowledgeable practitioner of laser dentistry. The dream of calm dental work with no shots, no pain, no drill and fewer visits is finally being realized.  Accurate and gentle, the laser delivers on all its promises.
