Missing front teeth can be embarrassing, not to mention a social 'faux pas'. This patient had a bridge for over 10 years and came to me with her teeth rotting and the bridge falling out. In the past, patients would have to settle for a removable denture or a large bridge that damages healthy teeth. With immediate esthetic implants the patient was able to leave with a temporary implant bridge that was similar to what she had been wearing. No taking it out! no damaging healthy teeth! Removal of bad teeth without a lot of swelling or bleeding, the future is now!
The permanent bridge was placed after the healing period for the implants, but the patient was able to wear the temporary with confidence during that time. There was no wait or turn over time as with the removable denture.
